Tranquillity

Their entrance to the world,
it is a tiny small town.
It's not that big, they say.
There is an enormous world out there,
and a lot much more at play.

The playschool mayor differs.
It seems tall, wide and big.
There are ducks in the pond,
and there is time to kill.

Will they ever stop talking,
about this unknown place.
It has tons of glitter and lights.
You can see it in their eyes.

The helm is steered with a shift of sails.
The wind fills in, and a bent is made.
Off you Go, from Dawn to Dusk.
Grow out of this town, you must.

One destined day, land is sighted,
as the ship runs ashore.
There is no pond nor ducks here,
but a different kind of allure.

Rush & gush, technology & fashion,
the concrete world has concrete ways.
Millions of people in limited spaces,
And countless complex games at play.

Ponds and trees and forest trails,
men trade them away for gold.
The time you killed, still sticks to you.
It keeps you from growing old.

The calm of the pond lives forever,
in that feeling you cannot run from.
And while the ship must sail beyond,
it remembers where it comes from.
